Booster Club

The Mingus Springs Charter School Booster Club was started to ensure our students, teachers, and school as a whole have the support they need. Our goals are to provide fun activities for the students, raise money that goes to various needs, and to foster communication between school and parents. In the past we have held a Harvest Festival and Pool Parties. We have raised money through various fundraisers which have gone to such things as Christmas Angels, individual classroom needs and Student Council. SITE BASED COUNCIL/M.(mingus)a.(Action)T.(Team)=mat

These groups of people consist of teachers, staff members, administration, parents and community members.  They identify and work on school goals and improvements.

Site Based Council meets once per quarter. The first meeting has not been scheduled. Please call the office if you are interested.

MAT meets monthly at this time. This is a new committee, watch for notices of upcoming meetings in Green Folders.

Student Council

Student Council Advisor: Melissa Hunter

Student Council officers and members are voted in by their classmates at the beginning of each school year. Throughout the year Student Council sponsors events like: Non-Perishable Food Drive for the local Food Bank, Dances for the Level 4 students, and other activities.

ARIZONA STATE TAX CREDIT

An individual may contribute up to $200.00, a married couple filing a joint return can claim up to $400.00 to a public school in support of extra curricular activities: A charter school is defined as a public school. These monies may be paid in one lump sum or as smaller payments throughout the year. More information can be found at the Arizona Department of Revenue website.

OtHeR FuNdRaIsErS..

Accelerated Reading: Water bottles on sale in the office daily; sm. $.50 and lg. $75 each. SMENCILS $1.00 each/SMENS $2.00 each.

Level 2: School Store every Tuesday and Thursday during lunch; selling items like, erasers, pencils, notebooks, etc. Prices range from $.05 - $1.00. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

GENERAL: While browsing the internet if you need to search please consider using Good Search. If you register under Mingus Springs Charter School each time you search on this site the school earns $$$$.

SONIC NIGHTS: First Wednesday of every month from 5-8 pm at our local Sonic. The school earns 10% of the sales during that time.

DOMINO'S DOUGH NIGHTS: The third Thursday of each month. You must present the coupon at the store or to the delivery driver. We earn 20% of each order placed with a coupon.
