MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE

What are the types of Multiple Intelligence?

Linguistic – Syntax, phonology, semantics, pragmatics

Musical –  Pitch, rhythm, timbre.

Logical-mathematical –  number, categorization, relations.

Spatial – Accurate mental visualization, mental transformation of images.

Bodily-kinesthetic – Control of one’s own body, control in handling objects.

Interpersonal – Awareness of others’ feelings, emotions, goals, motivations.

Intrapersonal – Awareness of one’s own feelings, emotions, goals, motivations.

Naturalist – Recognition and classification of objects in the environment.

Learning Styles & Multiple Intelligence

Each year Mingus Springs features Multiple Intelligence Day where students are able to experiment in all the areas of intelligence.  They enjoy doing things that come easily to them personally as well as activities that draw them into new areas of learning.  

The levels at Mingus Springs Charter School are broken down as follows: Level 1 includes; Kindergarten and First Grade, Level 2 includes; Second and Third Grades, Level 3 includes; Fourth and Fifth Grades and Level 4 includes; Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Grades.
