Students are placed on a first come first serve basis from a waiting list. So, if you are interested in placing your child at our sensational school you may fill it out and return it to us by mail, in person or email. Thank you for your interest.
The Mingus Springs Charter School philosophy believes that the elementary and middle school years are of critical importance not only for the children’s long-term academic achievement, but also for their abiding sense of self-esteem. Mingus Springs Charter School believes that the best strategy for dealing with the age effect and for giving the majority of children entering the school a chance to develop a healthy and robust liking for themselves, for learning, and for schooling, is small manageable classrooms and/or multiage grouping. Children are placed from a waiting list produced from applications submitted to the office. You may download a student application above. Students at Mingus Springs Charter School participate in the Accelerated Reader Program. We have an extensive library on campus for students to choose from. All students are asked to submit a Science Fair project in the fall. The top winners may have their project compete at the regional level at Tri-City Preparatory High School. Classes go to computer lab and P.E. twice each week. Students receive hands on learning experiences both in the classroom and through field applications.
